Altasciences, a mid-size CRO, has acquired Alliance Contract Pharma, adding small molecule contract manufacturing and analytical services from API to commercialization, including manufacturing, GMP storage, and clinical supply distribution, to Altasciences’ preclinical, clinical, and bioanalytical offerings.

With the acquisition, Altasciences aims to address the challenges associated with transferring data, projects, and/or methodologies between CROs, which can lead to prolonged R&D timelines.

Through the integration of key strategic additions, such as its preclinical business in October 2018, and now Alliance Contract Pharma, clients can benefit from integrated service offerings for more proactive development timeline adjustments and decision making to improve R&D efficiency.
