BioDuro-Sundia, a global contract research, development, and manufacturing organization (CRDMO), has launched a new Compound Management Center at its Waigaoqiao site in Shanghai, China. This new center aims to enable the systematic storage, handling, and management of compounds, and to enhance the company’s drug discovery capabilities.

The center features a compound storage lab equipped with real-time temperature and humidity control systems, which can manage approximately 400,000 compounds in both solid and liquid formats. Key services include storage, weighing, dissolution, plating, liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC–MS) analysis, and distribution. The center is also equipped with a Hamilton liquid handling station for fully automated workflows, and the Mosaic sample management software to track and manage steps in each sample’s lifecycle.

When combined with the company’s drug discovery services on-site, the new facility aims to enable clients to expedite their R&D processes and reduce costs for the discovery of new candidate therapies.

“Our new Compound Management Center represents a significant step forward in our commitment to providing world-class drug discovery services,” said Dr. Armin Spura, CEO of BioDuro-Sundia. “By integrating this cutting-edge compound management system with our drug discovery platform, we can offer our clients faster, more reliable solutions to bring their new drug candidates to market, benefiting patients around the world.”
