Capricorn Scientific GmbH, a provider of sterile cell culture media and animal-free powders for the biotech and diagnostics industries, has entered a collaboration with florabio AS, led by the biotechnologist Dr. Aziz Cayli, who brings over 30 years of expertise in the field. 

This partnership is set to redefine the benchmarks of efficiency and reliability in cell culture production, offering cutting-edge media formulations for the global biotech and pharmaceutical sectors.

The companies aim to deliver solutions that drive faster, more reliable results, enabling researchers to seamlessly transition products from the lab to the clinic and large-scale production. The collaboration will merge Capricorn Scientific’s knowledge of developing animal-free formulations with florabio’s high-yield expression systems in media development.

The first products from this collaboration have launched including a new medium for stem cells or MDCK, with more to come in 2025, catering to the demanding needs of drug discovery, regenerative medicine, and other key biotechnology fields.
