Chesapeake Acquires Cortegra

Expands U.S. pharma packaging footprint

Chesapeake Pharmaceutical and Healthcare Packaging has entered an agreement to acquire Cortegra Group, Inc. from Menasha Corp. Cortegra produces pharmaceutical leaflets and labels and has two production facilities dedicated to the pharmaceutical and healthcare sector. Cortegra employs 150 people at sites in Fairfield, NJ and Evansville, IN.

Mike Cheetham, Chesapeake’s chief executive officer, said, “Cortegra enjoys a coveted reputation as a high-quality supplier to the U.S. pharmaceutical market. It is an ideal partner to strengthen our service to customers and adds both size and scale to our U.S. operations. The acquisition extends our product range, customer base and our geographical reach.
