DKSH Adds SK Operations

Seoul site to distribute devices, pharma products

DKSH Business Unit Healthcare has opened its 4,300-sq.-m. healthcare distribution center in Seoul. Representatives of key clients attended the company’s opening ceremony.

The distribution center, strategically located near key hospitals, will manage mainly medical devices that regularly require emergency deliveries. With a capacity of more than 20,000 SKUs, the center will also handle medical supplies and pharma products and serve several hundred healthcare customers, including hospitals, clinics and pharmacies in the capital area.

DKSH’s distribution center complies with Korean Good Supplying Practices (KGSP) and adheres to international quality standards ISO 9001 and ISO 13485. With dedicated cold chain and redressing facilities, as well as around-the-clock monitoring and security systems, the site enables DKSH to provide its business partners with seamless and integrated services tailored to their needs, according to a company statement.

“The new distribution center underlines our commitment to continue our investment and growth in Korea. It will increase operational efficiencies, enhance our capabilities and drive our business expansion”, said Charles Toomey, head Business Unit Healthcare at DKSH.

Joo-Hwan Han, general manager Business Unit Healthcare at DKSH Korea, added, “Our new distribution center complements our existing healthcare distribution centers in Korea and will support the enhancement of our capabilities to better support the growth of our clients and customers in the country. Focusing on medical devices, the distribution center will help DKSH to strengthen its position as partner of choice for medical devices companies who want to expand their business in Korea.”
