John McCarty has been named scientific advisor at Formex LLC, and a science advisory board member. Mr. McCarty has more than 30 years of experience in drug product development in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, with expertise in the development of all major dosage forms, and is an inventor on 17 patents. 
 
Mr. McCarty previously held several senior management positions in R&D at Key Pharmaceuticals, Schering–Plough, and Pharmavene (acquired by Shire) and also served as vice president of formulation development at Azo Pharma.
