Philipp Hauser, a managing director of groninger Group, has been named the new CEO of groninger USA LLC. The 45-year-old took over the management in December 2022. After several weeks of onboarding at the companies German sites, Hauser has now also started his work in the U.S.

With his appointment to the U.S. location of the groninger Group, headquartered in Charlotte, NC, the German family-owned company is further expanding its position in the North American market and setting the course for further growth in this region.

“North America, and the U.S. in particular, are among the most important markets for us across all business areas,” said managing partner, Jens Groninger. “In Philipp Hauser, we have been able to win over an experienced manager and team player who combines many years of expertise in the international environment and genuine ‘doer’ qualities. We are convinced that he will continue and further advance the path we have chosen.”

Last year, groninger’s U.S. subsidiary celebrated its 25th anniversary. Since its founding a quarter of a century ago, investments have been made in the location and local capabilities have been steadily expanded. In 1997, only one employee had been working in a rented office, at that time still in Basking Ridge, NJ. In the meantime, almost 90 employees are able to independently maintain complete filling and capping lines and manufacture the spare parts required for this market. “This capability enables us to respond up to three times faster to customer inquiries, especially when it comes to the supply of spare parts,” said Groninger.

The new CEO Hauser said, “I am looking forward to continuing groninger’s success story in the U.S., together with the strong team, as well as further expanding and strengthening our presence in North America.”

A native of Germany, Hauser has lived in the U.S.—with brief interruptions—for almost 20 years. Today, he holds both German and American citizenship.

Hauser and his team have a number of plans for the future. He said, “We will further increase our local manufacturing capabilities. We will offer our business partners and customers even faster service and better product availability.”

As CEO of groninger USA LLC, he will be the link across the Atlantic to ensure smooth processes as the site expands and to continue the close and synergistic cooperation with the German sites. “Close shoulder-to-shoulder cooperation with our colleagues in Crailsheim and Schnelldorf is the foundation for success,” said Hauser. “We need to further strengthen this unity so that we can grow closer together—even with more than 4,400 miles between us.”
