Multiply Labs, a robotics company specializing in automated drug manufacturing, has announced a collaboration with Legend Biotech Corporation to automate cell therapy production. This initiative leverages Multiply Labs’ unique approach of using robotic systems that can operate existing instruments in the cell and gene therapy industry, facilitating a more rapid and seamless adoption of robotic technology compared to traditional automation methods.
 
Legend Biotech will evaluate Multiply Labs’ robotic technologies and secure priority access to these automated systems. The collaboration will build upon a peer-reviewed study published earlier this year in Cytotherapy, demonstrating statistical equivalence between manual and automated cell expansion processes.
