PPD Expands Central Labs’ Preclarus Technology

Features new client portal, functionality improvements, investigator site portal and a new companion mobile app

PPD has expanded its central lab technology capabilities integrated with the Preclarus data solution that consolidates and standardizes multisource data to provide real-time access to clinical trial operations and lab data. Features include a new client portal, functionality improvements for the Preclarus investigator site portal and a new companion mobile app for the investigator portal.

 

“The expansion of our central lab capabilities will improve the user experience for our clients and investigative sites,” said Christopher Fikry, M.D., executive vice president of PPD Laboratories. “The innovations that Preclarus and our technology platform offer are integral to supporting our clients’ success by facilitating faster, more informed decision-making about their compounds. At the same time, we are continually expanding and enhancing our technology competencies to better support the study needs of our investigator sites.”

 

The features of the new client portal include visibility to real-time, studywide data and specimen information; a customizable dashboard for displaying key study metrics and tracking progress; complete sample history and chain-of-custody reports; and a variety of related tools, reports and capabilities.

 

The Preclarus investigator site portal enhancements include a variety of new functionalities for logistics support and chain of custody, sample storage, informed consent and reporting.

 

The companion mobile app provides connectivity with iOS and Android devices, full integration of data with the web-based version in real time, and secure access to alert review and query resolution, subject registration and additional functionalities.
